Sequence feels cool and modern and a bit like the Ace or Standard Hotels. I enjoyed an excellent 12-night stay by myself in a twin-room. Staff were very helpful with all my needs, from check-in to holding items at the front desk. Room was large by Tokyo standards with expansive views and good blackout curtains (I'm glad I booked the twin, as basic single rooms are indeed very tiny from what I saw first-hand during cleaning). Beds are firm, as typical with Japan, but comfortable. Good amount of storage in cubbies and small closet. I thought the hotel would be noisier, as it caters to a younger crowd (think late 20s-early 40s), but my room was dead silent all 12 nights. The hotel was less crowded than usual, being winter, but I was still surprised at how quiet the place was. Bathroom was great. No tub, but shower has a nice sliding door to keep water contained and the rain shower head was terrific with excellent heat and water pressure. There's also an adjustable hand-held shower head too. Toilet, as expected, is a very nice bidet Toto. Cafe on the lobby floor is very cool and a nice place to work or take a meeting in the morning, though it does get busy by late morning and it's packed all afternoon. Also, if you purchase a reusable coffee cup (I think for about 500-600 yen, as it's 50% off for hotel guests), drip coffee is free for the rest of your stay with unlimited refills! Restaurant on the 5th floor was also quite good. Classy and tasty spot while still casual. No tea or coffee provided in the room, but a nice electric kettle was available upon request and I made good use of it during my stay. Mini fridge was useful too. No mini bar items - just use for cold storage. Location is very good. Under 10 minutes to Shibuya station on foot. Two FamilyMart locations very close as well for all your 24-hr konbini needs. So much good food close by. Overall, tons of good things to say about Sequence.

Location, stone throws away from the heart of Shibuya and less than 10 minute walk to Harajuku! Views of Tokyo were incredible. I was nervous about mixed reviews, but any "inconvenience' is outweighed by location, facilities at miyashita and staff at front desk, especially Connor who was super helpful. Yes the trains are loud, and sometimes ambulances at odd hours of the night however it adds to the experience of being in an urban city (we are a family with young child, she slept through it all). Yes the self check in tablets are not counter intuitive, however the staff and management have clearly reviewed practices and are there to assist/guide you through it. I'd like to call out Connor who was exceptionally helpful at both check in/check out and informative about our Yamato bag delivery, which made for a great customer experience. Yes there are many ways to access the hotel via miyashita, we loved this aspect. Yes the rooms are dark and moody, makes for an urban/eclectic vibe.. downside is that any spec of dust is visible against the dark carpet. Yes the rooms are turned every 2 days, however, it's clearly advertised on booking sites, so no surprises. We asked a cleaner to pick up excess trash on the odd days and that was all we needed. We booked the large twin room, which was perfect for a family of 3. Even 4. Given space is a premium in Tokyo and many similar urban cities, this far exceeded our expectations.

I loved that the hotel was always lively but not noisy or crowded. I loved that our rooms had a city view and the location of the hotel was perfect for our trip. I also enjoyed the aesthetic and layout of the room. The hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful!! I also love that they can hold our luggage’s before and after check in, I also loved that they provided toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and Q-tips for free for clients. I also LOVED that check out was at 2pm. It was perfect timing for me, I don’t feel rushed to leave the room.

The proximity to Shibuya station was great and also close to great food and shopping options, especially if you walk down to Harajuku in 15mins! The breakfast is freshly prepared and adequate and the staff are very courteous and helpful. The location was close to the famous crossing but not in the midst of the crowds and noise but still very accessible if you want to go out and return midday to drop off your shopping haha!

Room size was amazing. We had space to lay our suitcases and still be able to comfortably walk around the beds. The room was quite fresh and modern. Location was fantastic as many of the popular tourist attractions were in very close walking distance. Shibuya Station was only a 5 min walk away and very easy to travel to other cities nearby. Plenty of amazing restaurants and shops around. Definitely recommend staying here!
